Morning all you great fo folks Hope everyone has a great week ahead. Holidays are upon us. I have grown to not like crowds either. Went to WalMart on Thanksgiving just because. About 5 customerrs and all the rest employees getting ready for Friday. It was rather scary not to have people to shop around. A little bit of flurries falling, typical Vt overcast, about 24F. At this moment I have a large Tom turkey walking across the drive, stopped at the small crab apple tree and is finding what he can on the ground. Usually have lots of turkeys around the fields and neighbors but not here. We have a lot of woods. First one I've seen in our yard. I like to see the turkeys especialy if they are near the road or in an open field I think they have a hilarious walk and they are even funnier when they run. Well I guess that is the news update from the Northeast Kingdom of Vt. Now back to our regular scheduled broadcasting. Have a great week everyon one. : )

I plan on staying in the sticks only until my daughter finishes high school. This is really the sticks and expensive.

Morning and grumble, grumble. I'm realizing that perhaps I'm no longer meant to be up, out and about with people in the morning. Sigh, must get coffee this morning... Wishing everyone a good Monday!

Morning all Was some rainstorm last night. You know what the difference between having a rat and having a dog is? When there is thunder and lightning, the dog shows it's fear by barking it's head off, while the rat just burns off nervous energy on the treadwheel :) Have to work from 10pm-630am tonight. Anyone got any tips on how to stay alert besides coffee?

emergen-c those vitamin c energy drinks are pretty helpful, and healthier than 5 pots of coffee. also just try to keep your blood flowing, move around and stuff. good luck!

Morning, all - and a proposal. As much as I am enjoying my morning, I hereby propose the formation of a new weekend day: Satunday. See, I think that 4 days in a work week is plenty. We'd miss griping about Monday, Tuesday has a song written about it... but no one would miss Wednesday, right? So..... the advent of Satunday! Use Saturday and Sunday to do all the things you couldn't do during the week, and you still have Satunday for laying around and whatnot. Then Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - and hey! It's the weekend! Thoughts?

I think it should get it's own name if it's going to be taking over wednesday instead of just latching on to the regular weekend. But otherwise a decent idea.

I was making it part of the weekend although I am totally open to a better name. I just stole Wed. from the middle of the week and stuck it between Sunday ad Monday. So the week goes: Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Satunday

glad to be alive ty! I was so boring on friday night, I just went home and rested. diner was pasta and sops and shrimp over a the pasta...soooooooo gooood!! saturday, hungout, went to two meetings hung out with some great friends for coffee and got home late... sunday. wash, shopping and decorated my apart for the holidays and then did some shopping as i was feeling stuffed up and then ate soup, drank apple juice and went to sleep early. today, I feel awesome!!! its cold, and crispy out and i'm totally into the holidays right now.

Still blowing a gale, got to put fuel and food on board today, get laundry off and drain the strainer on the washdown pump Very, very cold here, ice still on the puddles early afternoon. Thankfully, I don't do the gift exchange with anybody so it is all about hanging out with people I like. I strung some colored lights all around the life lines and hung a mermaid ornament in the saloon--so the decorations are up. I sold my welder so am going to rent a car and go see my family for a long weekend. Some new little diving ducks have appeared and a large blue heron has taken to fishing the shallows near the boat at night.
