I say THAT'S discrimination! I was looking into reserving a campsite on the Colorado River and I inquired about this introductory rate. So the lady asks me if I have a "Significant Other" because the rate is only being offered to couples. I said "no." She said, "Well don't you even have a boyfriend?" I said, "no, I didn't realize they were a requirement for camping?? Can I still get the rate?" and she said "No. Thank you for ing and have a nice day." I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT! IS THAT RIGHT??? ANYONE EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN!?

are you bringing anyone with you? if anyone at all is going with you, just say that is your "significant other." there are many significant people in my life. i'm sure you have plenty, too. you don't necessarily have to specify in what way she or he is "significant." it is strange, though, that it's only for couples. maybe they are trying to discourage partying on the river, and they think that by targeting "couples" there will be more sex than partying? less dangerous/ destructive activity? i'm not sure, nix. sorry for your troubles.

You know I think Bouncin was right about the Time Share thing...At first I was thinking, "What is this, swingers camping?" Anyway, I was going to take my kid, I'm sure she wouldn't pass for that. Whatever I'll camp somewhere else.

Could be trying to sell you a timeshare they don't consider singles usually for those promo things. Where are you looking to stay, perhaps i could suggest somewhere?
