Movie poll? Okay, so this is a thinly-veiled attempt to pick y'alls brains (mmmm, zombie, perhaps?) on good movies... 1. What's your favorite genre of movie? 2. Are you a member of Netflix, or are you a hard-core, go-to-the-local-video-store-and-support-local-business kinda person? 3. What are the top three movies you've rented in the past year? 4. my answers: 1. Horror 2. Both, kinda. I love my local video store, but hate the late fees. I really like being able to take movies with me when I travel, but I feel guilty. I may actually try Redbox but may have to wear a disguise. 3. Food, Inc., District 9 (it shoulda won!!!), Devil's Miner (surprisingly, not horror, and about miners) 4. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein - I watched it last night and DANG! I couldn't get over watching Kenneth Branagh (Kenneth! what were you thinking?!) 1/2 naked throughout, and the music deafened me. I couldn't decide if it were going for camp, which would be great, or just misguided. I ended up believing misguided. 4. Probably the young woman from Welcome to the Dollhouse.

I'll play 1. What's your favorite genre of movie? Not sure. Muppets? Perhaps comedy, scifi, horror, or fantasy. I only like dramas if they're really good. 2. Plus, it's killer expensive compared to netflix and they're assholes. I used to like le video in sf though. 3. What are the top three movies you've rented in the past year? Bra-a-a-a-a-ains... I am **so** not a movie person but I'll give it a shot. 1. Silly comedies - seriously, just entertain me and make me laugh. 2. I am! I signed up when I was sick and haven't canceled even though I rarely watch movies and there aren't many video stores near me. 3. "For the Bible Tells Me So" was terrific. And um, **drawing a blank** 4. Watched "Lost in Translation" and just didn't get it. 5. I strive to be Norma Rae but I'm probably more like Thumper.

Uhhh... what's Netflix? :) I rent, or if it's a favourite I buy it, because chances are I'll watch it over and over and over and.. *cough* yeah, you get the idea. 3. Haven't rented much lately, so I'll go with favourites on my shelf: Catch me if you Can, Boondock Saints and Awakenings. Come to think of it, none of them are comedies. 4. Well I was forced to sit through Twilight a few months ago. In the theatre, I'd have to go with "The Kids are All Right." Ugh. That movie made me mad. 5. I'm tempted to say Buddy the Elf, but I'm really not that bad. :) Uh.. I really have no idea.

Late poll x. Romantic comedies. I get made fun of for this all the time because people don't expect me to like movies that are so "girly." I have a soft spot for funny/cheesy/musical. x. I watched "Igor" at a friend's place, which was way more entertaining than expected, "For the Bible Tells Me So" was good, but a depressing reminder of how freaking lucky I am and ...I can't think of another off the top of my head. x.
