Bonnie Tinker Dead I would say R.I.P. but I like the idea that she's giving them hell in heaven. She made me so proud when she and the other Seriously Pissed Off Grannies won their case. Plus, she love Walt Whitman.

Ugg, Tragic loss for all of us.

Yes,very sad news. I first met Bonnie in summer 1971 along with many others in Portland women's liberation. We were in the same karate class,taught by twins Paula and Pauline Short. That fall I moved to Eugene,but returned in 1977,and continued to see her at various social justice events. Bonnie was a life-long activist who came from a progressive,politiy aware family. I met one of her sisters and her mother,both smart,courageous women. The last time I talked to her on the phone,she was very upbeat and positive. I told her about some positive changes in my life,and she said,"looks like you're on a roll,Feminista."

Bonnie Tinker's memorial service Sat 7/25 If you didn't know Bonnie, take a minute to search her online. She made an incredibly huge impact on our local community, and the world. Her memorial service is this Saturday, July 25 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1137 S.W. Broadway.
