I read somewhere in one of the news site, the U.S. is sending a transport plane to Guinea to evacuate eligible U.S. embassy workers and their families and some private American citizens. Are your friends in Conakry or elsewhere in the country? Wherever they maybe, my thoughts are with them too. I just pray that this situation gets resolve quickly to prevent more loss of life. Guinea is currently monitoring all international communications including phone s. It's a scary situation there at the moment.
