Hopefully, I will find a nice small town with
a decent downtown. When I lived in Mountain View, I was able to walk or bike everywhere. I actually had my mechanic scold me about my car. He told me I needed to get it out on the highway and up to x at least once a month. It just sat in my car port, getting dusty. :-) I wish I could talk myself into living in NYC itself. I really DO love having all those things to do, but....it's so dirty and it was so draining to be myself! What I mean is that, I always smile and say "Good morning" to people as I pass them on the street. Here on the River, it's super easy - everyone is so friendly and huggy and their eyes light up when you greet them! In Brooklyn, oh, man....I always got a friendly (if surprised) response, but...it took such effort! And, a few people were so lost in their own little worlds, I didn't even bother trying! My son said that only I would even try to chat so many people up in such a big city, but, it's who I am - I like people. :-)
