Anyone ever gotten back into shape because there was someone specific you wanted to look good for naked?

No, but, a few years ago, I lost 75 pounds and got into great shape and have maintained it. :-)

In some ways, it's easier for women to get in shape once their hormones shift - more test for the building of the muscle.

when/if you do move to NY State if you live in the suburbs/country, be careful because they use an automobile for everything there because of the poor planning: a thousands houses next to each other so you can't walk to the store.

Oh, that's a shame. I really like having a life that includes a lot of walking. That was one thing I really loved about my trip to the City last month - all that walking! :-)

Yes, I live in New York City, so I understand There are some places where you can walk around town upstate, to be fair. But New York City has mixed zones so your supermarket really is around the corner. But more often in the suburbs they don't want a supermarket right inside the area because it will disturb them. Some places do have something like a main street with small stores, so I did exaggerate.

Hopefully, I will find a nice small town with a decent downtown. When I lived in Mountain View, I was able to walk or bike everywhere. I actually had my mechanic scold me about my car. He told me I needed to get it out on the highway and up to x at least once a month. It just sat in my car port, getting dusty. :-) I wish I could talk myself into living in NYC itself. I really DO love having all those things to do, but....it's so dirty and it was so draining to be myself! What I mean is that, I always smile and say "Good morning" to people as I pass them on the street. Here on the River, it's super easy - everyone is so friendly and huggy and their eyes light up when you greet them! In Brooklyn, oh, man....I always got a friendly (if surprised) response, but...it took such effort! And, a few people were so lost in their own little worlds, I didn't even bother trying! My son said that only I would even try to chat so many people up in such a big city, but, it's who I am - I like people. :-)
