so do most of you not spend so much on clothing? that chat below got me thinking. i wonder what the average is for us queers as far as our shopping dollars. the most i would spend on a pair of shoes is around 200 dollars. and those are usually boots or something fancy the most i would spend on a item of clothing is about 40 bucks. tops. i was horrified to spend nearly 100 bucks on the suit i bought for my vet school interview. what are your limits?

I don't spend money on clothes these days. Working backwards through the wardrobe stash as I lose weight. New items have mostly been gifts.

depends. the most I would spend on pants would probably be around $150. shirts $75. shoes $200. suit $350. bra $100. but i have no price limit on jewelry, watches or bags. plus, if there's something that REALLY catches my eye, I would break these rules.

I spend around 200 bucks every summer on things I like (read gay wear) and about 400 bucks per year on work clothes. Luckily, my oldest halfling has fab taste in clothes and I can borrow his stuff.

my budget is similar to yours, feisty with lots of thrift shopping thrown in, especially since my sizes are changing every couple of months. The shoes I'm wearing today are chunky rummage sale sling-backs for $x.

Spent x bucks on Sunday got two pair of shoes and a designer pair of panties for the girl. (fucking like x bucks for a little piece of lace -lordy!) And I felt like I got a really good deal on everything.. exept those damned panties.. but that'll pay off. heh, it already did. The dang Gap jeans I wear are x bucks a pair. x's are x. I can't find a decent shirt for under x. A decent light weight jacket is at least $x. And don't get me started on sailing camping or ski clothing. I've paid x bucks for one shirt to ski in. But its so damned warm I want to marry it. If I like it and I want it and I can afford it (or charge it). That shit is mine.
